The name of Rossy Guzmán, an evangelical pastor from the Dominican Republic, has gone viral due to the circulation of an intimate video allegedly showing her engaging in extramarital sex. However, this is not the first controversy surrounding the religious leader, as she has faced accusations of corruption in her country in previous years.
Who is Rossy Guzman?
Rossy Maybelline Guzmán is a pastor who holds a degree in theology and leads the Evangelical Pentecostal Shalom Tierra de Paz Church. She made headlines in April 2021 when she and her son, Tanner Flete, were arrested for their alleged involvement in the Coral case, which involved corruption against the state and was spearheaded by Major General Adán Cáceres.
Guzmán is accused of using religion to launder illicit funds and was said to be acting as a front for Cáceres. She was questioned multiple times by the Special Prosecutor for the Prosecution of Administrative Corruption (PEPCA). Her recent arrest is related to the leaked intimate video allegedly showing her having extramarital sex.

According to reports, Guzmán Sánchez was questioned three times by the Special Prosecutor in February 2022 in connection with alleged links to Major General Adán Cáceres, the former security chief for ex-president Danilo Medina, who was also arrested on Saturday for corruption.
This was in line with the Prosecution of Administrative Corruption (Pepca). After the release of her intimate video on social media, Rossy Guzmán has been arrested and is currently in police custody.
Owner of lots and luxury cars
A report by journalist Nuria Piera revealed that the evangelical pastor owns 10 companies, nine plots of land totaling 4,000 square meters, worth $709,000, and several luxury cars.
On December 9, the pastor was released from preventive detention and placed under house arrest with electronic monitoring and a financial bond, as ordered by the court.
The next hearing in the case was scheduled for January 13.
According to Diario Libre, Rossy Guzmán is prohibited from resuming her pastoral duties at the Shalom Tierra de Paz church until the end of her trial. In the meantime, the church is being managed by her colleagues.
The intimate video
The video, titled “Pastor Rossy,” allegedly shows the woman engaging in consensual sexual activity with a member of the musical choir in her church, while being recorded. In the video, the woman acknowledges the camera’s presence and blows a kiss towards it. There are also speculations that the woman in the video is Alexandra Arce, the former mayor of Durán, Ecuador, but this has not been confirmed.
