Mr. Cromwell was born and raised in Sekondi, Takoradi, Western Region, Ghana, West Africa. He currently lives in Chicago, USA, with his family. Over the years, Kofi has played and studied different kinds of music and traveled worldwide with great musicians. He was also a former member of the Western Diamonds band as a trumpeter and composed “Passenger,” still played in many venues. Kofi has now come out with a new sound, fusion highlife music blending with contemporary Jazz.

As a world-class musician, he released “Araba.” This intimate, jazzy, smooth, laid-back classic was composed and arranged by Kofi in Ghana and Chicago with dynamic beats and rhythms. There is a unique guitar sound by Dominic Quarchie, beautiful piano played by engineer and producer Big brain, percussion coupled with amazing steady drums by Francis Kweku Osei, and incredible bass guitar by Daniel Taco Grahl.

The song features Mr. Kofi Cromwell playing a smokey, mellow, warm flugelhorn and warm trumpet; that goes well with his vocals and human whistle. He is also responsible for all the backing vocals, with uplifting harmonies.
